BRICKS AND MORTAR SHOP

Be Inspired Fibres is a bricks and mortar shop in Marchmont, Edinburgh, which was opened in 2013.  The shop stocks a wide range of luxury, hand dyed, speciality and exotic yarns for knitters, crocheters, weavers and fibre artisans, sourced from around the world.

Directions:

The yarn shop is easy to find and is situated in the main Marchmont area of Edinburgh, which is just off The Meadows and Bruntsfield Links, in the vicinity of The Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Sciennes Primary School and James Gillespie High and Primary Schools. You will also find unique speciality food shops, pharmacies, life style and gift shops in the area, as well as a variety of great cake, sandwich and coffee shops.

How to get to Marchmont Road

By bus – 24, 41, 5
The number 24 bus stops outside the shop, but is not so frequent, approx. every 20 mins. The more frequent number 41 bus via Waverley Station stops every 10 minutes a few streets away on Warrender Park Road/Roseneath Street. The number 5 bus stops at the very top of Marchmont Road at the crossroads between Kilgraston Road, Strathearn Road and Beaufort Road, this stop is a good 5 minutes walk away.

By car
There are various pay and display parking spaces just outside and around the corner from the shop. Marchmont road is just off Melville Drive (A700), but is also very accessible from Bruntsfield (A702) and Newington (A701).

By foot –
Edinburgh is a great compact city and most places of interest can be reached by foot. The shop is probably a good 25 minutes walk from Princes Street and about 15 minutes from the Old Town and the Royal Mile. The University of Edinburgh’s main campus in George Square and the Quartermile development are located nearby, roughly a 5 minutes walk across the Meadows Park. Marchmont Road can also be reached by foot from Bruntsfield, Tollcross and Newington.
