Happy to announce that the new online shop is now live and ready to process your orders.

Recent arrival of many old favourite Hedgehog Fibres Merino Sock colours have now been uploaded onto the new online shop.

Icelandic wool has been in short supply since the start of the pandemic, I have just had a recent delivery of a few colours, please check the latest Lett Lopi stock availability on the new online shop.

The old online platform from Selz is now redundant and I have started processing orders on the new beinspiredfibresonline shop which is a BigCommerce platform. New product updates and migration of products to the new site is ongoing. I am sure there will be teething problems, there always are, please be patient!

Cannot believe that this will be my 7th year exhibiting at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival and it doesn’t get any easier curating a collection for the show, amidst so many wonderful exhibitors from the UK and Europe This is a very brief snapshot of what you might find next week on my stand and if there are any left after the event, they will be available for sale in my Marchmont shop.

There will be a 10% discount on all Noro and Lotus luxury yarns on the day.

The latest issue 13 from Amirisu has also just landed.

Delicate Merino by the Walk Collection has recently arrived, hand dyed in Germany by Cathrin Walk, her colours are just stunning and her yarns are just really beautiful to work with. The Delicate Merino is a strong heavy lace weight / light fingering and each skein comes in 100g / 600m, perfect for lightweight shawls and garments.

Goodness, the Indie Burgh Yarn Crawl is tomorrow!

To celebrate the occasion, there will be a 2% discount on all purchases on the day, however, some items are not included in this offer which include Woolly Originals handmade bags.

New arrivals in the shop include – Kate Davies’s new Book of Haps, don’t forget that she will be making an appearance and signing copies at Kathy’s Knits on Saturday, 11th June, which is also part of the Indie Burgh Yarn Crawl organised by Ginger Twist Studios.

I am now also starting to stock Hedgehog Fibres – currently their Sock Yarn, Skinny Singles and Mini Skeins.

Beata dyes her yarn in Cork, Ireland and covers the wide spectrum of colours, tones and moods. She is immensely popular and has a wide international following.

I have been following her progress probably for over eight years, from when she was a very small indie dyer. Her colours and choice of bases continue to inspire me.

She has some lovely free patterns on her website that knit really well with her hand dyed yarns, but her yarns have really inspired many of Stephen West’s designs.
